Chroma Stationary- Mothers Day Gift!

20 March 2017

The lovely guys over at Chroma Stationary let me pick a personalised notebook for mothers day and of course I jumped at the chance as I knew my mum would love it!

For those of you who don't know Chroma are a online stationary store that sell a number of different personalised stationary such as notebooks, pencils, pens etc... with a white range of colours to choose from! You are able to personalise the products with literally anything you want: a quote, a name or initials etc...

The notebook I got was from the Mothers Day collection,  these come with the 'mum' already in the love heart and then you are able to personalise it, all you have to do it add your mums initials. The ordering process is super easy too all you have to do is select the style of notebook then the style whether it be lined or blank then choose them embossing colour out of: white, gold and silver. The next step is then too add the notebook colour and the initials you would like to appear on the notebook. The one above is priced at £8 and can be found here. These notebooks are also available with a ring binder on and are priced at £9, they can be found here.

Overall I loved the quality of the notebook and so did my mum, I gave it to her early as she would see my social media posts and she loved it! She has been taking it too work to show off haha! Make sure you order by Wednesday to get them in time for Mothers Day, but these make a great gift for any occasion. I also loved how fast the delivery was, its always a bonus!

You can find Chroma here!

Luxury Home Accessories

13 March 2017

I was recently sent over some beautiful home accessories to review and its safe to say I am delighted with them, so I hope you enjoy this post and it gives you some inspiration for your home.

Nkuku Sawaya Glass Vase
First of all how beautiful is this vase, it has a rustic antique feel to it with the imperfect but gorgeous look. I think this piece is fabulous, it would spruce up any area of your home with its silver almost crackled effect. Personally I am using it as a vase with these pretty peonies as there my all time favourites but this could also be used a storage pot too, it would make a perfect statement without any flowers. I think this is very reasonably priced at £18.95 and could easily be mistaken for a lot more value, if you're interested in this can take a look here.

Nkuku Antique Designer Photo Frame
This is a antique style photo frame, I love these style photo frames because you can literally just put anything you want in them from something so simple as a feather to numerous items creating a collage style photo or you can simply just put one photo in it, I tried out the collage style for this photo and I really do like the idea of putting keepsakes inside the frame. This is the 4x6 size but these are available in three different sizes and would look quite cute with more than one next to each other.  This size is £14.95, this one being the cheapest and the price ranging up to £22.95 for the other sizes. You can find these here.

I hope you liked the products I picked! Both are available online from Rooi a online store selling luxury living products so be sure to check them out for other gorgeous pieces.

You can find them here online.

Swiss Clinc Review

4 March 2017

This is a skin renewal treatment is made by Swiss Clinic, that aims to get rid of fine lines, the appearance of pores and produce collagen. This treatment comes with two products, the serum and the skin roller that are both to be used together, the serum is applied and then the skin roller is then used to roll over your skin and do its magic which I will get into later on.

Firstly before purchasing you have to decide which size skin roller you want, the size refers to the needle(not an actual full blown needle) in the roller. There is 0.2mm and 0.5mm, the 0.2mm is best for getting rid of spots, acne scars, eczema and preventing wrinkles whereas the 0.5mm is great for preventing ageing.

The skin roller makes small micro channels into the skin to trigger a healing processes and increase collagen using the serum applied.  It claims to "Stimulate and renew the skin - from within and without. It reduces fine lines, wrinkles and scars, softens the skin, stimulates blood circulation, improves elasticity and reduces enlarged pores. This effective treatment also leaves your skin with a more even tone, makes it more resilient, and preserves its vitality and energy by slowing the skin’s ageing process." .

The Verdict
Firstly the after applying the serum I used the roller and I absolutely love it you just feel the little pins in your skin and I don't know why but it feels so satisfying rolling it on your face. Straight away it leaves your face feeling super soft, one thing I hoped this would do is make my pores look a little smaller as some on my cheeks are starting to be noticeably big and I was really surprised at how quickly it did this! I honestly feel like this helps brighten up your face and give you glow in your skin which for me is a big bonus with having dull skin.

You can find Swiss Clinic here and it is currently on offer for £84 with free shipping so get your hands on this bargain.

The Whimsical Fashion Colouring Book Review

19 February 2017

The Whimsical Fashion Colouring Book by Natasha Itzxovitz

Natasha Itzxovitz is a London based fashion designer who sells fashion, accessories and artwork so clearly has a passion for fashion hence this colouring book full of 100 hand drawn designs. There is drawings inspired from the likes of Marie Antoinette and Jane Austen.

I  love a adult colouring books they are perfect for when your feeling stressed and want to wind down and relax as it helps to take your mind off everything and just go back to the days of being a child colouring in when you had no worries.

This one is truly amazing, the drawings are beautiful each and everyone of them are unqinly designed inspired by fashion through the ages!  You can tell how much work has gone into each of the designs which is just amazing, it must of took forever to make this book!

This makes the perfect little gift for one who's feeling stressed and you want to cheer them up, especially any fashion lovers out there as they will really appreciate each and everyone of the designs.

You can find this book at WHSmith here.

Juicy Fuel Cola Review

13 February 2017

Juicy Fuel Cola is a juice made by The Juice Shed Company which started in 2007. The cola is made using real fruit juice in two flavours normal cola and cherry cola and is 100% craft cola. With absolutely no preservatives, no e-numbers, no added sugar and no added sweeteners these are amazing for someone like me who always drinks fizzy drinks. First of all I love the packaging the bright colours make these stand out and I love the tall slim packaging too with each can containing 250ml.

So here is what i though of the two flavours:

Cola
This one is surprisingly similar to coke itself a bit more fruity as to be expected, one thing I loved about this is it didn't feel quite as gassy as normal coke does which is always a benefit as theres nothing worse when its too gassy but at the same time it doesn't loose its fizzy very quickly meaning it doesn't go flat which is a bug bearer for me so Im very happy about this,

Cherry Cola
This one tastes more like cola than the other one but has a strong taste of grape too, the fruit is very prominent in this flavour. Although the do taste like fruit they are still fizzy like coke but so much more refreshing I could imagine drinking these in the sun and it being perfect!

They are available from the following stores: Tesco, Morrisons, Booths, Sainsburys, Waitrose and ASDA.

You can find out more about them here.

T-Zone Skincare review

5 February 2017

This T-Zone range by Newtons Labs is a spot and blemish fighting range as they include antibacterial to rapidly remove spots and blemishes. The range has a RRP of £3.99 - £4.99 so is very affordable. The products are readily available in a number of stores including: Superdrug, B&M, Bodycare and Home & Bargains.

T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel
This gel cooling and quick drying gel aims to prevent spots and blemishes, infused with tea tree oil and witch hazel it aims to get to work in four hours. This gets applied directly to your spot or blemish in the morning and night time. So far from using this I feel like it doesn't necessarily completely remove the spot from your face but after applying it the same day you do notice a reduction in the size and redness and overall it left my spot just looking not as noticeable which I'm definitely not complaining about.

T- Zone Nose Pore Strips
These pore strips aim to unclog and pores, blackheads and whiteheads whilst also preventing spots.
These are by far my favourite product of the bunch, I applied it to the nose area after wetting my face to ensure it stuck and left on for ten minutes after the ten minutes I removed the strip with little effort. In the corners it can be a little hard to pull away but I experienced very minimal pain which was so worth it. The results from this are amazing you can se afterwards on the pore strip white and blackheads that have been removed which makes me feel so much better and I will definitely be adding this into my weekly skincare routine.

T- Zone Blackhead Facial Scrub
This scrub works to deeply clear blackheads, pores and dead skin cells by using tea tree to overall make the skin look smoother and prevent future spots. Firstly this is a great price so affordable and it really works, you can feel the little beads in the scrub that help to remove the dead skin cells from your skin so leaves your skin feeling so nice and fresh.

T-Zone Antibacterial Cleanser
This cleanser helps reduce shine and tighten pores whilst taking away dirt and leaving your skin nice and fresh and again helps the prevention of spots. This does what it says its meant to, it removes all the dirt from your skin making it nice and fresh. I feel like it has made me have less breakouts but that is only when I use the product everyday so if this is something your looking to do make sure you add it into your nightly skincare routine. Although it does contain tea tree and does have a strong smell of this so if this is not something you like id give this a miss.

Overall I'm really impressed by the products, there so affordable and genuinely have some amazing results, I cant wait to try out more of their products.

Have you ever tried them?

Emma Hardie- Bright Time Essentials

28 January 2017

So I managed to grab myself a bargain with this set at christmas I got the set on sale from £50 to £29 which is a bargain as I had wanted to try these out for some time I had to get my hands on them. This set comes with four products and the cloth to go with it aswell as the bag which is always handy.

Moisture Boost Vit+ C Cream

"A vitamin enriched day cream that helps to uncover your skins natural radiance. A pure blend of Vitamin B3 and time-released Vitamin C reduces the appearance of dark spots and promotes healthy collagen production, leaving the skin looking brighter, clearer and more even as well as helping to reduce the visible signs of ageing. "

The first thing I loved about this product is the fact that it has vitamin c in it. This cream is quite a rich, thick cream which personally I like because I have eczema so its perfect to moisturise my skin. Again with this product it leave my skin feeling nice and soft, refreshed and overall looking so much brighter quite instantly really!

Moringa Cleansing Balm & Cloth
"Award winning Moringa Cleansing Balm is a balanced daily cleanser that thoroughly cleanse deep in the pores, moisturises and calms all skin types"

This balm is my favourite of all the products, I have very dry skin and this honestly leave my skin feeling so soft and revitalised. The scent of this product is gorgeous and the texture is amazing it feels so soft even when you first put it on your skin. The oils help to make your skin feel relaxed and I have noticed I have less pores after using this for three weeks. The only thing I wish about this product is that I got a bigger size in the set as I'm deffintley going to want to re purchase this once I've finished this tub.

Vitamin C Intense Daily Serum
"A super charged Vit C Serum, that helps brighten the skin and helps reduce dark spots and pigmentation. The time released Vit C, helps promote collagen synthesis, leaving the skin looking brighter and clearer."

This serum is lovely, it feels runny but its not a bad thing because a little does such a long way with this product. This is applied under you're moisturiser and it seems to even out my skin a lot and make it much brighter in general. I would definitely recommend this product and I think it works well with the moisturiser.

Brilliance Oil

"Brilliance Facial Oil is a light-weight, multi-active everyday facial oil complex, containing 9 essential oils of Palma Rose, Orange, Mint, Vanilla, Geranium, Camomile, Lemon, Rose and Lavender that help to condition, hydrate and smooth the skin's texture."

This is the thing I have used least in this set mainly because I actually struggle to get it out the bottle for some reason I don't know if anyone else has this problem or if it is just me. But from what I have used of this product i do really like it, although I've seen people say this is great for eczema so I want to give this a good try and see what I think of it!

What skincare are you loving recently?
