DHC Japanese Beauty

11 March 2018
Being in the beauty blogger community means you hear so much about amazing skincare and beauty brands and Japanese skincare is no different, I've wanted to try some bits for so so long! Skincare is a hit and miss with me as I do have eczema so my skin is super dry and sensitive hence me spending a small fortune on the next best thing to help dry skin!

DHC Cleansing Oil

This is the product I've been loving most of all, this cleansing oil can be used to take off your makeup up or just to cleanse, I've been using it after using my micellar water to take any access makeup off and cleanse my skin at the same time. So far I've been loving using it, it makes my dry skin feel hydrated it just feels amazing on the skin i can only describe it as soft and silky because it really is! Also i have to say that i love the fact it comes with a pump because so many oils don't and it just makes life so much easier, its the simple things! This comes at £24 which I think is a reasonable price considering the 200ml size.

Olive Virgin Oil Swabs

These are cotton buds that are infused with olive oil, each of them come individually wrapped and you get 50 of them in one pack for £6.75. These are made with the idea of them being used to get rid of makeup smudges and blemishes and for any dedicate areas including eyes, nose and ears. I have used it for a number of things, I've used it when doing my nails to clean up, for my ears, when i have applied eye makeup and they just come in so handy! I think they are perfect for on the go and for travelling too! These come at £6.75 for a box of 50 which i think is bargain!!

Mascara Perfect Pro Double Protection & Liquid Eyeliner EX

Firstly the mascara, Ive been using this for a while now and i really like it the brush applicator is nice and easy to use not too big not too small but allows you to do your bottom lashes easily. This give quite a natural look, not too dramatic but does make your lashes look lovely and long. This is priced at £15.90 so a little more than your average high street mascara

Next the eyeliner, i don't really own many eyeliners as I'm awful at applying it so i don't have much to compare it too.  So far from having a play round with it i like the tip as its very pointy so makes application easy, the colour is a pure black which is exactly what you would want and at £16 you cant complain. P.S its actually on sale for £12 now!

Velvet Skin Coat

This is a primer for all skin types, it aims to reduce fine lines, pores and imperfections so I've been trying out with my everyday makeup routine and so far so good. Ive found it does make my makeup last a lot longer than it would without the primer, i feel as though this helps your foundation go on easier than usual and overall gives a more finished, polished look. Although i would say this may work better for people with oily skin or normal skin as mine is very very dry and i don't feel as though it gives me any hydration which is something that i normally look for in a primer.

Have you ever tried anything from this range?

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper !!

2 March 2018
So I'm back with another beauty post today, surprise, surprise...

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper

So I've been trying a new beauty tool by Lilibeth brow shaper out for just over a week now and i can honestly tell its going to be a staple tool in my makeup bag, this little tool can get rid of hairs instantly and although initially made for eyebrow hair it comes in handy for any facial hair at all making it great for both men and women!

As you can see when you open out this tool it has a blade, this work by angling the tool and going in a downwards motion against the hairs, obviously it does take a while to get to used to it but as soon as i did i couldn't stop! What i love about this is its painfree, you literally feel nothing! I find this handy to have in your bag incase you notice the odd hair on the go and want to get rid asap this makes it easy to do so. I have found it so easy to use now i have the hang of, i did worry it would feel sharp on dry skin but it felt fine and thats coming from me who has extremely dry skin!

These are also super affordable with them being available from Insant Beauty Fix, Feel Unique, The Hut and Amazon for just £7.50.

New in: Pixi Beauty!!

14 February 2018
Ive been a little shy on the blog front recently, uni deadlines are fast approaching ahh! So unfortunately blogging has taking a backseat but todays post is about all things Pixi beauty.

If you read my posts regualy you'll know I've done a few posts about Pixi recently and Ive been loving trying out more and more from their range !

Pixi mattelast liquid lip
(Au Naturelle, Matte Beige, Pastel Petal, Really Rose, Evening Rose)

I was literally SO SO excited to get all of these, I am a big lover of lipsticks and in particular liquid lipsticks and these shades are so up my street! First of all i must say these smell like Terrys Chocolate Orange (deffo not complaining), upon first application i did think these were very liquidy (nope deffo not a word but lets go with it) which isn't a problem but it just means you have to be very careful when your applying them. Overall i LOVE these I've been wearing them so much since I received them and they are really gorgeous, very pigmented and they do last a while on the lips!

Pixi Rose Caviar Essence & Rose Flash Balm

The rose caviar essence aims to hydrate and brighten your skin, firstly the product smells amazing as you would probably expect, the scent is not too strong! I do think this product is pricey at £26 but it did leave my skin looking a lot brighter than normal which I'm very happy with. I use this as part of my skincare routine but i think it would also be great used under makeup!

Again the rose flash balm smells lovely, again this is £26 and aims to brighten only this is can be used a mask. I think this is a great product for taking away with you because it provides three things in one tube! I think i prefer this to the rose caviar as I've been loving using it as a primer recently and would probably choose to rebuy this over the other.

Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go!
So I'm assuming you've all heard of the iconic Pixi Glow Tonic, if not then have you been living under a rock?! No seriously... the ever talked about glow tonic is one of my favourites so to see a new  on the go version was very exciting! So far I've loved these there great for when I'm staying at my boyfriends for the weekend and I'm planning on taking them with me for my weekend away to London! The pot contains little pads that already have the glow tonic solution on them, they work really well at cleaning the skin and removing makeup!

Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick

Plum Berry, Bitten Rose, Rose Naturelle

I was so excited to receive some lipsticks are they are most definitely my thing, I own way to many for one girl! These feature three lipsticks which are gorgeous shades my favourite definitely has to be Rose Naturelle, I love warm brown shades like these! The formula is so good, they feel so moister zing on your lips with I love because so many are drying my lips out at the moment, I feel like they do have good pigmentation although they don't last too long so you have to re apply throughout the day which is slightly annoying but lets be honest you have to with most lipsticks. I do also love the packaging of these lipsticks, there simple green colour is instantly recognisable to me!

Have you ever tried Pixi? Let me know!!

Wonderland Makeup!

1 February 2018
So todays post is all about makeup brand Wonderland, they aim to provide high end, cruelty free makeup for all. Admittedly its one I haven't heard of much as they are a online only brand as far as I am aware.

So I've been trying this primer out for about one 2 months now and so far so good, I have really dry skin so a good primer is essential for me! Firstly the packaging, I love the sleek black and white design of this product and the transparency so you are able to see how much product is actually left. One thing I love about this product is how far the product goes, I use the smallest amount on my face and it works perfectly! From using this I have noticed a difference in how my makeup looks, it all together looks more polished and smooth and my makeup lasts all day!

Nail Polish- Bubblegum £6

So the next thing is cute nail polish, admittedly I'm more of a pale pink kinda girl but I think this is a perfect shade for the summer time like just imagine this with a tan! After trying this out I would recommend you do two coats of this to get the best colour, not that its a bad thing because its very rare i ever only do one coat! One thing i did like was how quick it dried because I'm the most impatient person in the world, for £6 i definitely would recommend this!

Pigment- Candy

Loose pigments are not a product I've used very often so I was interested in trying this out, straight away I knew that this colour would be amazing on the eyes! I love how this one product can be used in so many different way yet ti only costs £6, what a bargain!! The pigment of this is amazing, once on the lids it makes a real statment and I would highly recommend trying these to anyone!

Bilou- Scented Shower Foams!

18 January 2018
Bilou is a German brand that honestly Id never heard of before I received these products, this is because Bilou has only recently been stocked in the U.K. with it now being readily available in Superdrug stores. Bilou was created by a Youtuber which made me very intrigued and its always nice giving back to the community!

Firstly I must say the packaging of these products is amazing, its fun, unique and colourful and very me! This range includes a number of different scents such as Watermelon and Doughnut with a number of different products available, this includes: shower foam, body spray and cream foam!
The body sprays could also be used as deodorant but I personally prefer them as body sprays, they are the perfect size to fit in your bag for on the go too!
Creamy shower foam is as exactly as it sounds, it is to be used as a shower gel and works just as good as any other shower gel, I will get on to the scent further down so keep reading!
The cream foams are what I used after the shower, they again come in the form of a foam but as they are creamy their really moisturising which is great!

COTTON CANDY

As you can imagine this is a very sweet scent, without spotting the obvious it really does smell like candy floss, this one isn't too overpowering either so it is one I would definitely recommend!

COCO COCKTAIL

This one is for those of you who don't like anything too sweet, this just has a simple coconut scent to it. Having said that it isn't a subtle smell, it is quite strong but not too overpowering with hints of creamy coconut and madagascan vanilla, it makes me think of being at a beach which I'm definitely not going to complain at.

I think these would be perfect for the summer seasons and for taking on holidays as the scent is just so fresh and summery!

The scent of this body spray is very long lasting too which is always a bonus!

This is by far my favourite out of all the scents!

TASTY DONUT

I love the packaging of all of the products but this one is my favourite, I love baby pink and i think it goes so well with the black.

This scent is again one of the sweetest of the collections as you would expect, this obviously smells of doughnuts and has a strong strawberry scent too.

So if you love sweet smells and love doughnut then this one is definitely for you although I do find it to be quite overpowering.

P.S do you like the way the packaging matches my nail varnish, by accident too... I'm not that organised!

FIZZY BERRY

If you like sweet smells but don't like the too strong this is the best out of the bunch, the smell is fresh, sweet and slightly fruity at the same time with a berry undertone!

PINK MELON

Again this is one of the stronger scents of all, as you can imagine it smells like watermelon but is quite a strong smell of watermelon and again is very sweet!

This range is now available from Superdrug in store and online, if you want to get your hands on them you can find them here:

Hope you enjoyed!
