UltraSun Suntan Lotion Review!

28 August 2018
So i was recently sent over some suntan lotion to try before my holiday, if you didnt know because i  havent blogged in like forever last month I went away to Spain so i tested out all these products while i was.

Ultrasun are brand that has been going for around 20 years providing lotion for those with sensitive skin. For someone who suffers with eczema and super sensitive skin this was music to my ears as i find suntan lotion alway reacts to my skin.

Ultrasun Family SPF 30

So i picked the family size high protection 30 spy suntan lotion, i used this on holiday for everywhere but my face and i really enjoyed using it. I didnt really burn and if i did that was my fault not the suntan lotion. I cant fault this product, if you didnt know i have eczema so often react to suntan lotion and it can also make my skin feel quite itchy and i was very very happy that this one worked a dream!

Ultrasun Anti- Age SPF 30
This was actually the product i was excited to see most as i was in desperate need to get a suntan lotion that was specifically just for more face as a lot of them seem to clog up my pores and i end up with spots on holiday which is definitely not what i want! I used this everyday whilst i was on holiday and its definitely going to be my go to! I didn't burn, it didn't react with my extremely sensitive skin and most of all it did not break me out in spots so i have nothing but good things to say about this product!

Ultrasun Anti- Age Tinted SPF 50

I mainly wanted this product for in the U.K. because i think a lot of people will admit they shy away from using protection when in the uk and often think oh its not that sunny but the sun can still be doing damage to your skin even if its not a scorcher of a day.  So I've been wearing this in the summer days rather than using foundation, this just feels as though your wearing moisturiser and doesn't feel heavy on your skin at all. Again this didnt react with my skin luckily and didnt break me out so i would highly recommend this to any sensitive skin or not!

Ultrasun Face Overnight Recovery Mask

I used this on holiday each day after being in the sun all day. Whilst i was on holiday i did get a bit of sun burn around my eyes and on a general basis the sun does dry out my skin, upon applying this felt like it instantly cooled my skin down almost like after sun. This also left my skin really hydrated i didn't even feel the need for moisturiser which is new for me!
I would highly recommend this to anyone who is going away and suffers from dry skin or even just irritated skin after being in the sun.

You can check out the full range here.

Organic Products

5 July 2017

I was recently sent a range of Organyc beauty products, as you can probably guess all their products are organic which I love, there aren't enough around on the market and I'm all for using anything organic if possible. This range has won awards for the best organic products 2017, so obviously all sounds good!

The first product I tried was the organic ear buds, firstly this box comes with 200 ear buds which is pretty standard, they are made using organic cotton and the stems are made from recycled cardboard as well as all packaging being recyclable. Overall I really liked using these, the stem is slightly less strong as normal ear buds but the ear bud itself works just as well as normal ear buds but with the added bonus of them being organic.

The next product is cotton pads, these are something I use on a regular basis so I couldn't wait to give these a go, this pack contains 70 small pads. The only downside for me about these is that they are small so I do have to use two but overall I love these they feel supper soft on your skin and it feels amazing to know they are made out of organic cotton so will be gentle and kind to you're skin.

Lastly are these cotton balls, you get 100 in this pack so is a large pack. I don't use these on a regular basis but its always nice to have these in. These are just as fluffy as you would expect and are not much different to normal cotton balls but again these have the added benefit of being organic.

You can find more about organyc and their products here.

Swiss Clinc Review

4 March 2017

This is a skin renewal treatment is made by Swiss Clinic, that aims to get rid of fine lines, the appearance of pores and produce collagen. This treatment comes with two products, the serum and the skin roller that are both to be used together, the serum is applied and then the skin roller is then used to roll over your skin and do its magic which I will get into later on.

Firstly before purchasing you have to decide which size skin roller you want, the size refers to the needle(not an actual full blown needle) in the roller. There is 0.2mm and 0.5mm, the 0.2mm is best for getting rid of spots, acne scars, eczema and preventing wrinkles whereas the 0.5mm is great for preventing ageing.

The skin roller makes small micro channels into the skin to trigger a healing processes and increase collagen using the serum applied.  It claims to "Stimulate and renew the skin - from within and without. It reduces fine lines, wrinkles and scars, softens the skin, stimulates blood circulation, improves elasticity and reduces enlarged pores. This effective treatment also leaves your skin with a more even tone, makes it more resilient, and preserves its vitality and energy by slowing the skin’s ageing process." .

The Verdict
Firstly the after applying the serum I used the roller and I absolutely love it you just feel the little pins in your skin and I don't know why but it feels so satisfying rolling it on your face. Straight away it leaves your face feeling super soft, one thing I hoped this would do is make my pores look a little smaller as some on my cheeks are starting to be noticeably big and I was really surprised at how quickly it did this! I honestly feel like this helps brighten up your face and give you glow in your skin which for me is a big bonus with having dull skin.

You can find Swiss Clinic here and it is currently on offer for £84 with free shipping so get your hands on this bargain.

T-Zone Skincare review

5 February 2017

This T-Zone range by Newtons Labs is a spot and blemish fighting range as they include antibacterial to rapidly remove spots and blemishes. The range has a RRP of £3.99 - £4.99 so is very affordable. The products are readily available in a number of stores including: Superdrug, B&M, Bodycare and Home & Bargains.

T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel
This gel cooling and quick drying gel aims to prevent spots and blemishes, infused with tea tree oil and witch hazel it aims to get to work in four hours. This gets applied directly to your spot or blemish in the morning and night time. So far from using this I feel like it doesn't necessarily completely remove the spot from your face but after applying it the same day you do notice a reduction in the size and redness and overall it left my spot just looking not as noticeable which I'm definitely not complaining about.

T- Zone Nose Pore Strips
These pore strips aim to unclog and pores, blackheads and whiteheads whilst also preventing spots.
These are by far my favourite product of the bunch, I applied it to the nose area after wetting my face to ensure it stuck and left on for ten minutes after the ten minutes I removed the strip with little effort. In the corners it can be a little hard to pull away but I experienced very minimal pain which was so worth it. The results from this are amazing you can se afterwards on the pore strip white and blackheads that have been removed which makes me feel so much better and I will definitely be adding this into my weekly skincare routine.

T- Zone Blackhead Facial Scrub
This scrub works to deeply clear blackheads, pores and dead skin cells by using tea tree to overall make the skin look smoother and prevent future spots. Firstly this is a great price so affordable and it really works, you can feel the little beads in the scrub that help to remove the dead skin cells from your skin so leaves your skin feeling so nice and fresh.

T-Zone Antibacterial Cleanser
This cleanser helps reduce shine and tighten pores whilst taking away dirt and leaving your skin nice and fresh and again helps the prevention of spots. This does what it says its meant to, it removes all the dirt from your skin making it nice and fresh. I feel like it has made me have less breakouts but that is only when I use the product everyday so if this is something your looking to do make sure you add it into your nightly skincare routine. Although it does contain tea tree and does have a strong smell of this so if this is not something you like id give this a miss.

Overall I'm really impressed by the products, there so affordable and genuinely have some amazing results, I cant wait to try out more of their products.

Have you ever tried them?

Emma Hardie- Bright Time Essentials

28 January 2017

So I managed to grab myself a bargain with this set at christmas I got the set on sale from £50 to £29 which is a bargain as I had wanted to try these out for some time I had to get my hands on them. This set comes with four products and the cloth to go with it aswell as the bag which is always handy.

Moisture Boost Vit+ C Cream

"A vitamin enriched day cream that helps to uncover your skins natural radiance. A pure blend of Vitamin B3 and time-released Vitamin C reduces the appearance of dark spots and promotes healthy collagen production, leaving the skin looking brighter, clearer and more even as well as helping to reduce the visible signs of ageing. "

The first thing I loved about this product is the fact that it has vitamin c in it. This cream is quite a rich, thick cream which personally I like because I have eczema so its perfect to moisturise my skin. Again with this product it leave my skin feeling nice and soft, refreshed and overall looking so much brighter quite instantly really!

Moringa Cleansing Balm & Cloth
"Award winning Moringa Cleansing Balm is a balanced daily cleanser that thoroughly cleanse deep in the pores, moisturises and calms all skin types"

This balm is my favourite of all the products, I have very dry skin and this honestly leave my skin feeling so soft and revitalised. The scent of this product is gorgeous and the texture is amazing it feels so soft even when you first put it on your skin. The oils help to make your skin feel relaxed and I have noticed I have less pores after using this for three weeks. The only thing I wish about this product is that I got a bigger size in the set as I'm deffintley going to want to re purchase this once I've finished this tub.

Vitamin C Intense Daily Serum
"A super charged Vit C Serum, that helps brighten the skin and helps reduce dark spots and pigmentation. The time released Vit C, helps promote collagen synthesis, leaving the skin looking brighter and clearer."

This serum is lovely, it feels runny but its not a bad thing because a little does such a long way with this product. This is applied under you're moisturiser and it seems to even out my skin a lot and make it much brighter in general. I would definitely recommend this product and I think it works well with the moisturiser.

Brilliance Oil

"Brilliance Facial Oil is a light-weight, multi-active everyday facial oil complex, containing 9 essential oils of Palma Rose, Orange, Mint, Vanilla, Geranium, Camomile, Lemon, Rose and Lavender that help to condition, hydrate and smooth the skin's texture."

This is the thing I have used least in this set mainly because I actually struggle to get it out the bottle for some reason I don't know if anyone else has this problem or if it is just me. But from what I have used of this product i do really like it, although I've seen people say this is great for eczema so I want to give this a good try and see what I think of it!

B Beauty Limited Face Masks Review

12 December 2016

I recently received these two face masks from B Beauty Limited, I had never heard of B Beauty Limited before but they are online website selling Japanese Cotton infused sheets masks, the two different masks that I received are Papaya and JoJoba oil mask which are both available to buy online here at £2.49 each which is pretty reasonable for a sheet mask.

Firstly is the Papaya sheet mask- papaya is meant to act like a antibacterial and is often used to clear rashes, cuts and gets rid of any dead skin cells. One of its biggest benefits is it makes your skin appear lighter and brighter. This one smells amazing as soon as you open the pack you can smell it, its quite a peachy smell but still amazing! After using it left my skin feeling so softer and straight away my face looked a lot brighter and healthier so Im really impressed by this mask.

The next is the JoJoba Oil face mask- this face mask is fragrance free so is great for anyone with sensitive skin. JoJoba oil helps protect and repair from any damage and acts as a natural skin conditioner. This leaves your skin feeling equally amazing but it was slightly better for my skin as I do have sensitive skin so it felt that tiny bit more gentle then the Papaya sheet mask.

If youd like to check out the range of face masks B Beauty Limited sell you can find them here.

Akar Skincare Review

15 November 2016

Akar Skincare create 100% natural products using only products found in nature in the purest form that are organic from Tibetan Plateau giving your skin the best chance to renew and repair itself. I was really excited to try out these products because they seemed like such natural and luxurious products and the packaging also gave me this feel, it was packaged in a cut little box all wrapped with tissue paper and a branded sticker. The products themselves look very simple my classic and again give off this luxurious feel. I received two products:

Desert Rescue Face Oil
This face oil is a light weight oil containing Baobab oil and Jojoba Oil which helps to give your skin moisture and help to heal your skin. This is suitable for dry and normal skin and also contains benefits for antiaging.
I use this by dropping 3 drops of the oil into my fingers and gently rub it onto my face, it smells very pleasant but not very strong but thats something I love as I hate it when all face products are fragranced.
The results of this product were amazing, it left my skin feel soft and smooth. Right now I have a few patches of eczema on my skin and it really help to moisturise this and help keep my skin feeling nourished which is something that I always look for with having really dry skin. Overall I am really loving using this product recently and I'm sure I will continue too.

Lip Butter Sample
I  received a small lip butter sample with my package and I love lip butters, funnily enough the day this package arrived my lips were feeling so dry. The product smells and look very orangey which I personally am a huge fan of and once the product was applied it felt so soft and soothing on my lips. It also had a glossy finish to it which is always nice and it feels like it lasts so long which is great as you don't have to keep re applying.  So far I'm loving this and I definitely want to purchase the full size of this product.

You can find Akar here.

Paul Mitchell- Shampoo Two

13 November 2016
paul mitchell shampoo two

paul mitchell shampoo two

Im sure most of you have heard of Paul Mitchell by now but if you haven't Paul Mitchell is a well known hair stylist. Paul Mitchell the brand is a range of hair styling and care tools.

The Facts

I received the clarifying shampoo, which is named Shampoo Two. It claims to cleanse oily hair and scalp so that your hair is left fresh and shiny. This is priced at £10.50 and there is also a matching conditioner available.

I really wanted to try this because I feel like I have build up on my hair so I wanted to try anything that would help to remove this build up. Also i tend to have quite oily hair which is something i absolutely cant stand so I thought it would be great to see how this worked on my hair.

The verdict

The smell of this product is very pleasant and much nicer than a lot of other shampoos its almost a lemony scent. Also the end result of this shampoo is amazing, it leaves a fresh smell and leaves your hair looking amazing. It left my hair feeling so light and took away any build up i had which was more prominent at the roots and left my hair looking this way until the next wash. Overall I'm very impressed by this product and will definitely be purchasing again.

The Konjac Sponge- Angel Face Facial Cloth

23 October 2016
The Konjac Sponge- Angel Face Facial Cloth

The Konjac Sponge Co, bamboo mask, charcoal

Ive heard about The Konjac Sponge Co for a while now so I was excited to try out one of their new sponges; The Bamboo Charcoal Angle Cloth. (Konjac is a medical plant from Asia)
The Konjac Sponge Company have a range of different sponges/cloths ones for men for after shaving, a nourishing heart puff sponge, baby sponges and also have travel kits.

What do they do?

  • Cleanse and exfoliates skin
  • Refines pores
  • Works without cleanser
  • Removes makeup
  • Leaves skin super soft

The Bamboo Charcoal Angle Cloth is perfect for anyone with oily skin, with the combination of Konjac plant fibre and charcoal powder this cloth provides a soft exfoliation and cleanse. You can use this product with or without cleanser as it works equally as well without, the charcoal draws out bacteria and dirt from you're pores. The cloth itself seems very hard and rough on first appearance but before apply to the skin you have to run the cloth under the water and the cloth becomes a soft almost jelly like texture that feels super soft on the skin.

I would definitely recommend these to anyone they are so gentle on the skin and are the perfect alternative to any other cloth as these cloths do much more than the ordinary cloth with no need to add any products to the sponge.

sugar baby, Coco-Luxe- Cleansing Coconut Beauty Bar, Hair Affair- Hydrating Coconut Hair Treatment, Sugar Crush- Coconut & Raw Sugar Exfoliating Body Scrub

First of all i must say how flipping cute is the packaging for this? Its so so so pretty! Sugar baby is a Australian brand made by two sisters  inspired by the seaside they sell a range of bath, body and tanning products. They are available now from Superdrug!

Sugar Crush- Coconut & Raw Sugar Exfoliating Body Scrub
This is perfect for exfoliating, I used this before going on holiday to get rid of any dead skin meaning that my tan would last longer after holiday. The raw sugar in this is what exfoliates the skin, making your skin feel super soft especially as it is added with coconut oil. This product was a much sweeter smell, it was very strong in coconut but the sugar added a sweeter tone to the scrub.

Hair Affair- Hydrating Coconut Hair Treatment
This was a god send to me while on holiday, being in the 30 degree sun really makes your hair feel dull and dry so I thought this would be the perfect thing to revitalise it and it sure did! This again was very strong in coconut scent but smelt amazing on the hair i could smell it for days! This treatment is to be left on the hair for five minutes after it has been washed then to be rinsed off and after doing this  my hair felt so soft and amazing I loved this! A great thing about this is that it will last for so long so your hair can keep on looking amazing!

Coco-Luxe- Cleansing Coconut Beauty Bar
Personally this was my favourite product of them all, I opened it and fell in love with the smell it was just amazing so fresh and such a holiday scent it put me in the perfect holiday mood especially as I was going away two days later! It is made from coconut oil and Coconut milk perfect for cleaning and healing! This also has Shea Butter and Aloe Vera making this perfect for anyone with dry or sensitive skin or eczema like me, I was so surprised at first that this would work well on my eczema but it really did!

15 September 2016

timeless truth, face mask, rejuvenation mask, hydra intense bio cellulose eye mask,

Timeless Truth are online company selling face masks, they literally have such a wide range of them for all different skin types and to help a range of skin problems out there. I accidentally asked for the wrong one being stupid as i am but i tried it out anyway because it sounded equally amazing my sister however did receive the one i wanted which was the Charcoal mask and loved it, she will have a review up on here blog here.

The mask I reviewed is the TT Herbal Rejuvenation Immortelle Mask which aims to minimise lines and ageing using hyaluronic acid. If your worried about the acid I can assure you its fine, I have very sensitive skin and have eczema and this is fine for me. You are told to leave this on the skin for around 15-20 minutes which i did and straight away I could tell the difference it left my skin feeling all soft and literally looked so clear and glowing. No face mask has ever left my skin feeling as good as these I am genuinely so impressed by them.

I was also sent the Hydra Intense Bio Cellulose Eye Mask, these are meant to reduce the dryness around the eyes and also puffiness whilst generally hydrating the eyes. These felt amazing on my eyes, I felt as though they not only brightened but all made the area under my eyes feel a lot smoother and softer!

Believa- Cleansing Milk

14 August 2016

believe cleansing milk

This Believa cream is a cleansing milk, this is a gentle cream that can be used on cracked, itchy and dry skin, with me having eczema I thought it would  be great for me to try this out.
I have been using this as a moisturiser twice a day once in the morning and once in the night as I have to keep my skin moisturised at all times to keep my eczema at bay. I have to say that its as good as my Dermol moisturiser that I use on a daily basis, it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and moisturised as it should even though I don't have eczema on my face I have been using it on face as a daily moisturiser similarly twice a day and it leaves my face feeling amazing so soft and refreshed.
The only thing I will say about this product it probably isn't the cheapest on the market as although its priced at £15.99 this is only for a 250ml bottle.

Overall I would definitely recommend this cream, to anyone with or without a skin condition as it leaves your skin feeling amazing.

To get yours hands of their products you can visit there website here.

Monushop Recovery Balm

23 July 2014

I was kindly sent this to review by the people at Monu Skincare, this is a recovery Balmfor all types of skin but in particular sensitive and stressed skins so this is perfect for me as I have very sensitive skin. At first when I opened this I didn't actually think that this would agree with my skin as it has a fragrant smell which was a bit unexpected as usually skincare products for sensitive skin don't have a fragrance but ive had no problems with this.

This product claimed  to soothe and improve your skin and provide relief to all skin types and I think it does exactly as it says, ive been using this of a morning and I definitely think it leave my skin feeling soothed and has also reduced the dryness of my skin which is a huge bonus. I also really like the consistency of this although i don't think it spreads very far but I think this would also work well on oily skin. This is retailed at £22.50 which I think is a very reasonable price.

You can find them at the following:

Di Palomo

10 July 2014

I was sent this item by the lovely people at Di Palomo, they have four different ranges including Tuscan Rose, Wild Fig & Grape, Orange Blossom with Wild Honey & Olive. Each range have a number of different products including Fragrances, Cleansing Bars, Body Butter, Lip Balms, Hand Cream and Gift Sets ranging from £4.00- £25.00.

I was sent the White Grape & Aloe Dry Oil, I had never used a dry oil before but after using this I think will be from now on wards. This comes in a spray form and is perfect for when you just get out the shower to allow this mist to absorb into your skin and leave a fresh fragrant smell, I usually find alot of smells are too strong for me but I think this has the perfect subtle, fresh and light smell. This also contains vitamin E which is an added bonus! I've heard that dry oils are good to use on your hair to give a glossy finish so am definitely going to try this. Overall I would recommend this to anyone and at £18.00 I think this is a very reasonable price for a 50ml bottle.

Have you ever tried a dry oil?

Lip Care Collection

26 February 2014

This is my collection of lip balms, these are all my favorite ones.

Lush Santa Scrub- I purchased this at Christmas, I've always wanted to try one of the lip scrubs from lush but I didn't seem to like any of the other flavors. These scrubs are definitely worth a purchase, they really help to keep your lips feeling refreshed and unlike anything else I've tried really does scrub your lips.

Fruity Lip balm- this is passion fruit, I think I got this from Avon a while ago and I tend not to use this one anymore as I find I have more that keep my lips a lot softer, although this does smell lovely.

Body Shop- this lip balm is mango flavored, this is one of favorites and one I will be definitely re purchasing. It's one of the best smelling, it smells amazing! It also does leave your lips feeling very soft.

Fereza- I bought this in the airport in Spain last year I love these they come in loads of different flavor and smells, the smells are amazing in these, they can be overpowering but this is my overall favorite smelling lip balm.

Hot lips- I've had this one for a while and this is is strawberry flavored, this isn't a very strong scent but this can feel quite greasy on your lips sometimes because of it consistency.

Vaseline- I don't think I need to say anything about this but this one is my favorite Vaseline there is.

Jelly Bean- this is the tangerine flavored, I know I've said this about them all but this really does smell amazing! It isn't very soft and doesn't really keep your lips soft but does smell amazing!

Balmi- this is definitely one of my favorite lips balms this is the strawberry flavored on and this is so so soft and I think is my overall favorite of them all as it leave your lips so soft!

I would recommend out of all of these balmi and the lush lip scrub or if your going away definitely keep a look out for the Fereza lip balm!

Body Shop Moisturizers

After looking for scent free moisturizer for a while, I came across this whilst shopping online at Body Shop, reading this product information this looked really good and seemed to focus on dry skin, which i have. I specifically used to get dry patches around my eyes alot. I  then read the customer reviews and they all seemed positive and said that it helped eliminate dry skin.

So when i came across a 50% off voucher code, i though id try these out, they are normally priced at £10 for the day cream and £11 for the night cream and after using this for about 2 months i would definitely recommend this to anyone who suffers from dry skin or sensitive skin as this is free from any scents, after using this I no longer have dry patches around my eyes and this leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft.
Let me know if you have tried any good moisturizers for dry and sensitive skin.
