Island Of Paradise Fake Tan Review

5 February 2019

Self Tanning Water
Ive tried this tan a couple of times so i give a full review, i must say i was sceptical its it being water and not knowing what this would be like to apply and i must say it was a bit of trial and experiment to begin with. Overall i do love the colour this gives I'm really pale and this isn't too orange it gives a perfect glowy, bronzed look. I applied this with a tanning mit, you just have to be extra careful to make sure to get all areas as you this has no colour and ensure its blended well, it does take some time getting used to but once you have you'll love it!

Self Tanning Drops
Ok
Ok so you could say that I'm slightly obsessed with this product now I've been using it for two months now so i have give it a good go before writing this review. Firstly i apply this by putting one or two drops in my moisturiser before bed, be careful these can leave a fake tan stain on your hands so I've been applying using gloves to avoid this and it works a treat. Then you just apply this like normal moisturiser and its that simple, i don't use this every night i tend to do every other night and alternate between one or two drops depending on how dark i want it. I love the colour this gives off, its not a orangey tone is more of a glowy look which honestly now i cant live without!
Highly recommend to anyone!

Mario Badescu Skincare Review!

8 January 2019
Its been a while again... this is becoming a regular occurrence, life is getting in the way and i never ever seem to make the time to blog anymore but I'm not forcing it I'm just going with the flow and writing when i feel like it! My skin has been awful at the moment so I've been trying out new skincare, hoping this new routine makes a difference and it has been so i thought id write a review as i know Mario Badescu are talked about quite a lot!

Mario Badescu Skincare Set, drying lotion,

Facial Spray- this is is the one product i just knew i would love and i wasn't wrong, i really do love using this product. I use it in the morning when i wake up and of a night after I've done by skincare routine, this just makes your skin feel so fresh and wakes me up of a morning. I also have been finding it handy to have in my bag, i don't know about you but when I'm in work and I've had my makeup on for a long period of time it makes my skin feel all dry so this is perfect. You can find it here

Enzyme Cleansing Gel- this product was one that i wasn't that excited to try as I've got tons of products similar but honestly I've been using this every night and applying with a    facial sponge and theres something about this that i just love. It feels like i really digs deep to clean the skin, afterwards my skin looks and feels so fresh and soft!

Silver Powder- Again another product i have been loving, this literally looks like a paste that you put on your wet skin, this then dries and aims to minimise pores whilst also getting rid of dirt and black heads. I suffer with large pores next to my nose and on chin and I've been using this twice a week and really notice the difference, pores appear smaller and i don't seem to be getting as many black heads.

I'm not going to lie i haven't yet tried out the Flower and Tonic Mask because i have so many similar products open so i don't want to open this before using them up but ill update this post when i do get round to doing so.

Mario Badescu Skincare Set, drying lotion,

Drying lotion- this was the whole reason i wanted this set, i suffer really bad with spots i don't have acne but i get a lot of spots on my chin and forehead, these spots tend to just leave red marks on my face for a long period of time which is so frustrating especially when i don't want to wear much makeup for work. So I've been leaving this on my spots overnight and washing off in the morning. I had worried that with me having eczema and therefore having really dry skin this would make my skin even drier therefore i am careful upon application and just apply on the small area were the spots are. Overall i have notice a difference i wake up and i feel like the spots are less visible which is exactly what i want!

Overall i really love this set and do think it has given be better skin although i think sticking to any skin care routine is bound to help!

Pixi Glow Collection!

27 October 2018
Dont Pixi just do the best PR packages, i may be bias but hay ho i literally live for them. Although i have to say how lucky am i to receive a package like this?! Their packaging was on point as usual with this package.

 Fairy Lights Liquid Eye Glimmers

Not going to lie, i was sceptical about these when they first arrived as i had never tried liquid eye shadow before, but boy did these impress. I used these over the top of my shadow to add a glitter effect, and the pay off is insane (wish i would of swatched them now, would of been a good hay).

Glow-y Gossamer Duos

I am forever on a search for 'the perfect' highlighter its one product I've never found a favourite off. These have become a everyday favourite of mine, although they aren't my favourite for nights out or dressy occasions these add such a gorgeous subtle glow and makes your skin look super natural and flawless. The formula is also fab as it isn't too powdery which i do find with some highlighters which end up coming chalky, this is just the right consistency!

Honestly Pixi never disappoint me, although I get sent products to review it goes without saying that my opinions are honest and truthful and i genuinely buy Pixi products myself. Ever since i tried glow tonic I've never gone back! But overall i never have a negative thing to say, i would highly recommend them to anyone!

My Make-up Brush Set

18 May 2018
Im back with a new blog post after seven weeks, life got crazy from uni work to starting a new job life has taken over but i have finally got round to writing a new post.

So i recently received these gorgeous brushes from the guys over at my make-up brush set so I've been trying them for a while now so i can give you my opinions on them!

My make-up brush set

My make-up brush set

My make-up brush set

Firstly we must comment on the design, these brushes are just so pretty with their mermaid design! This comes as one set the 5 Piece Rainbow Mermaid Set personally their are two brushes i get more use out of, one for contour and another for my eye shadow and i love them.

The brushes themselves are super soft making application feel amazing  although i do feel as though you have to be careful to not leave marks from brush strokes on your face but then again i do find this with a lot of brushes so isn't unusual. I find these are easy to clean too which is most definitely a bonus, who wants to make a tedious job any more tedious.

I would definitely recommend checking them out as they have a huge range of different brushes in different patterns  aswell as actual makeup which I'm yet to try myself so their is bound to be something everyone loves and they are also a bargain at around £15 a set with five brushes included.

What makeup brushes are you loving right now?

Rosie for Autograph

28 March 2018
So I recently received this package of rose gold goodness, as you can imagine i was so so happy i mean i honestly do feel so so lucky to receive packages like these! All these products are from Rosie for autographs collection available at Marks & Spencer both online and instore! Also bonus, all products are not tested on animals!

STARSTRUCK LIP & CHEEK COLOUR
This Starstruck lip and cheek colour is a two in one product to be used either as a lip of check product, this is in shade pink personally i love chubby sticks i find them so easy to use and this was no different. Im not going to lie me and blush aren't a match made in heaven i don't tend to wear it very often as I'm more of a bronzer and contour person. Having said that i have been trying this out and really enjoying it, i don't apply to much just a dab on each check and then blend it out and it adds a little colour to your cheeks and gives you that fresh natural glow. This is available for £15 which isn't bad, in my opinion!

ROSIE LIPSTICK

So I received two of Rosie's lipsticks, these are in shades super model kiss and dolly baby, firstly again ow amazing is the packaging of these??! Like every other blogger i am instantly drawn to rose gold! I love the formula of these, they are literally so soft on the lips, i used to be a matte lipstick girl but I'm really loving more shiny lips at the minute so these are perfect, especially for the upcoming spring (if it ever arrives) and summer months. The colour pigmentation is great too and they last quite a while after a few hours i do find myself topping up but thats nothing unusual for me. These are £14 which i would say is about average for a lipstick these days.

INSTA GLOW BLUSHER

This Insta Glow Blusher (summer sunrise) has the best packaging is it just me that would love to just never use this product, its just so pretty!! Personally i use this as a highlighter more than a blush and it adds such a pretty seen to my cheeks I really love it even i did have to ruin the pretty pattern to use it! The colour is subtle not too pink which is what i always go for in a highlighter, this is priced at £20 which is more on the expensive side for a highlighter but i honestly do think it is worth it!

ANNIVERSARY MAKEUP PALETTE

This Anniversary Makeup Palette has 6 creamy eyeshadows, 4 being limited edition ones, a bronzer, a cream blush and a highlighter. I love multi use palettes like this they are perfect for travelling when your trying to pack lightly. Ive been using the bronzer a lot and really enjoy using it, its like a medium shade so would really suit lots of different skin tones. They eyeshadows are also very nice not all of them i would use on a daily basis but the gold and brown shades are perfect for every day and the pigmentation is great! So far I've been loving using this palette and it comes in very handy!
Also i think this is very reasonably priced at £25!

EYESHADOW PALETTE

This eyeshadow palette is one of my favourites for the collection, the shades are just so wearable and pretty! Also notice the smudge in the  bottom left shade, well typical me accidentally got my nail in there before i even got a chance to take a picture how annoying!! I really like the formula of these, the eyeshadows are creamy and look gorgeous on your lids and last so long!! Again the packaging is gorgeous and the big mirror is also a bonus! This is priced at £18 which for four eyeshadows i think it pretty good value!

INSTA LASH MASCARA

This Insta Lash Mascara is amazing, it doesn't clog at all and it really does make your eyelashes look longer, although some reviews online stated this clogged a lot i haven't found it too at all. Theres not much i can say about mascara but i have really been enjoying using it although i put two coats on to build it up if i want my eyelashes to look thicker but for day to day use one coat is enough. This is available in black and in black and brown which i think is great as they normally just have black. This is priced at £15.

Overall i have been loving trying out the range and would really recommend it to anyone and right now if you spend £25 on Rosie's range then you receive a free perfume, enjoy!

DHC Japanese Beauty

11 March 2018
Being in the beauty blogger community means you hear so much about amazing skincare and beauty brands and Japanese skincare is no different, I've wanted to try some bits for so so long! Skincare is a hit and miss with me as I do have eczema so my skin is super dry and sensitive hence me spending a small fortune on the next best thing to help dry skin!

DHC Cleansing Oil

This is the product I've been loving most of all, this cleansing oil can be used to take off your makeup up or just to cleanse, I've been using it after using my micellar water to take any access makeup off and cleanse my skin at the same time. So far I've been loving using it, it makes my dry skin feel hydrated it just feels amazing on the skin i can only describe it as soft and silky because it really is! Also i have to say that i love the fact it comes with a pump because so many oils don't and it just makes life so much easier, its the simple things! This comes at £24 which I think is a reasonable price considering the 200ml size.

Olive Virgin Oil Swabs

These are cotton buds that are infused with olive oil, each of them come individually wrapped and you get 50 of them in one pack for £6.75. These are made with the idea of them being used to get rid of makeup smudges and blemishes and for any dedicate areas including eyes, nose and ears. I have used it for a number of things, I've used it when doing my nails to clean up, for my ears, when i have applied eye makeup and they just come in so handy! I think they are perfect for on the go and for travelling too! These come at £6.75 for a box of 50 which i think is bargain!!

Mascara Perfect Pro Double Protection & Liquid Eyeliner EX

Firstly the mascara, Ive been using this for a while now and i really like it the brush applicator is nice and easy to use not too big not too small but allows you to do your bottom lashes easily. This give quite a natural look, not too dramatic but does make your lashes look lovely and long. This is priced at £15.90 so a little more than your average high street mascara

Next the eyeliner, i don't really own many eyeliners as I'm awful at applying it so i don't have much to compare it too.  So far from having a play round with it i like the tip as its very pointy so makes application easy, the colour is a pure black which is exactly what you would want and at £16 you cant complain. P.S its actually on sale for £12 now!

Velvet Skin Coat

This is a primer for all skin types, it aims to reduce fine lines, pores and imperfections so I've been trying out with my everyday makeup routine and so far so good. Ive found it does make my makeup last a lot longer than it would without the primer, i feel as though this helps your foundation go on easier than usual and overall gives a more finished, polished look. Although i would say this may work better for people with oily skin or normal skin as mine is very very dry and i don't feel as though it gives me any hydration which is something that i normally look for in a primer.

Have you ever tried anything from this range?

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper !!

2 March 2018
So I'm back with another beauty post today, surprise, surprise...

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper

Lilibeth- Instant Brow Shaper

So I've been trying a new beauty tool by Lilibeth brow shaper out for just over a week now and i can honestly tell its going to be a staple tool in my makeup bag, this little tool can get rid of hairs instantly and although initially made for eyebrow hair it comes in handy for any facial hair at all making it great for both men and women!

As you can see when you open out this tool it has a blade, this work by angling the tool and going in a downwards motion against the hairs, obviously it does take a while to get to used to it but as soon as i did i couldn't stop! What i love about this is its painfree, you literally feel nothing! I find this handy to have in your bag incase you notice the odd hair on the go and want to get rid asap this makes it easy to do so. I have found it so easy to use now i have the hang of, i did worry it would feel sharp on dry skin but it felt fine and thats coming from me who has extremely dry skin!

These are also super affordable with them being available from Insant Beauty Fix, Feel Unique, The Hut and Amazon for just £7.50.

New in: Pixi Beauty!!

14 February 2018
Ive been a little shy on the blog front recently, uni deadlines are fast approaching ahh! So unfortunately blogging has taking a backseat but todays post is about all things Pixi beauty.

If you read my posts regualy you'll know I've done a few posts about Pixi recently and Ive been loving trying out more and more from their range !

Pixi mattelast liquid lip
(Au Naturelle, Matte Beige, Pastel Petal, Really Rose, Evening Rose)

I was literally SO SO excited to get all of these, I am a big lover of lipsticks and in particular liquid lipsticks and these shades are so up my street! First of all i must say these smell like Terrys Chocolate Orange (deffo not complaining), upon first application i did think these were very liquidy (nope deffo not a word but lets go with it) which isn't a problem but it just means you have to be very careful when your applying them. Overall i LOVE these I've been wearing them so much since I received them and they are really gorgeous, very pigmented and they do last a while on the lips!

Pixi Rose Caviar Essence & Rose Flash Balm

The rose caviar essence aims to hydrate and brighten your skin, firstly the product smells amazing as you would probably expect, the scent is not too strong! I do think this product is pricey at £26 but it did leave my skin looking a lot brighter than normal which I'm very happy with. I use this as part of my skincare routine but i think it would also be great used under makeup!

Again the rose flash balm smells lovely, again this is £26 and aims to brighten only this is can be used a mask. I think this is a great product for taking away with you because it provides three things in one tube! I think i prefer this to the rose caviar as I've been loving using it as a primer recently and would probably choose to rebuy this over the other.

Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go!
So I'm assuming you've all heard of the iconic Pixi Glow Tonic, if not then have you been living under a rock?! No seriously... the ever talked about glow tonic is one of my favourites so to see a new  on the go version was very exciting! So far I've loved these there great for when I'm staying at my boyfriends for the weekend and I'm planning on taking them with me for my weekend away to London! The pot contains little pads that already have the glow tonic solution on them, they work really well at cleaning the skin and removing makeup!

Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick
pixi Mattelustre Lipstick

Plum Berry, Bitten Rose, Rose Naturelle

I was so excited to receive some lipsticks are they are most definitely my thing, I own way to many for one girl! These feature three lipsticks which are gorgeous shades my favourite definitely has to be Rose Naturelle, I love warm brown shades like these! The formula is so good, they feel so moister zing on your lips with I love because so many are drying my lips out at the moment, I feel like they do have good pigmentation although they don't last too long so you have to re apply throughout the day which is slightly annoying but lets be honest you have to with most lipsticks. I do also love the packaging of these lipsticks, there simple green colour is instantly recognisable to me!

Have you ever tried Pixi? Let me know!!

Wonderland Makeup!

1 February 2018
So todays post is all about makeup brand Wonderland, they aim to provide high end, cruelty free makeup for all. Admittedly its one I haven't heard of much as they are a online only brand as far as I am aware.

So I've been trying this primer out for about one 2 months now and so far so good, I have really dry skin so a good primer is essential for me! Firstly the packaging, I love the sleek black and white design of this product and the transparency so you are able to see how much product is actually left. One thing I love about this product is how far the product goes, I use the smallest amount on my face and it works perfectly! From using this I have noticed a difference in how my makeup looks, it all together looks more polished and smooth and my makeup lasts all day!

Nail Polish- Bubblegum £6

So the next thing is cute nail polish, admittedly I'm more of a pale pink kinda girl but I think this is a perfect shade for the summer time like just imagine this with a tan! After trying this out I would recommend you do two coats of this to get the best colour, not that its a bad thing because its very rare i ever only do one coat! One thing i did like was how quick it dried because I'm the most impatient person in the world, for £6 i definitely would recommend this!

Pigment- Candy

Loose pigments are not a product I've used very often so I was interested in trying this out, straight away I knew that this colour would be amazing on the eyes! I love how this one product can be used in so many different way yet ti only costs £6, what a bargain!! The pigment of this is amazing, once on the lids it makes a real statment and I would highly recommend trying these to anyone!

Bilou- Scented Shower Foams!

18 January 2018
Bilou is a German brand that honestly Id never heard of before I received these products, this is because Bilou has only recently been stocked in the U.K. with it now being readily available in Superdrug stores. Bilou was created by a Youtuber which made me very intrigued and its always nice giving back to the community!

Firstly I must say the packaging of these products is amazing, its fun, unique and colourful and very me! This range includes a number of different scents such as Watermelon and Doughnut with a number of different products available, this includes: shower foam, body spray and cream foam!
The body sprays could also be used as deodorant but I personally prefer them as body sprays, they are the perfect size to fit in your bag for on the go too!
Creamy shower foam is as exactly as it sounds, it is to be used as a shower gel and works just as good as any other shower gel, I will get on to the scent further down so keep reading!
The cream foams are what I used after the shower, they again come in the form of a foam but as they are creamy their really moisturising which is great!

COTTON CANDY

As you can imagine this is a very sweet scent, without spotting the obvious it really does smell like candy floss, this one isn't too overpowering either so it is one I would definitely recommend!

COCO COCKTAIL

This one is for those of you who don't like anything too sweet, this just has a simple coconut scent to it. Having said that it isn't a subtle smell, it is quite strong but not too overpowering with hints of creamy coconut and madagascan vanilla, it makes me think of being at a beach which I'm definitely not going to complain at.

I think these would be perfect for the summer seasons and for taking on holidays as the scent is just so fresh and summery!

The scent of this body spray is very long lasting too which is always a bonus!

This is by far my favourite out of all the scents!

TASTY DONUT

I love the packaging of all of the products but this one is my favourite, I love baby pink and i think it goes so well with the black.

This scent is again one of the sweetest of the collections as you would expect, this obviously smells of doughnuts and has a strong strawberry scent too.

So if you love sweet smells and love doughnut then this one is definitely for you although I do find it to be quite overpowering.

P.S do you like the way the packaging matches my nail varnish, by accident too... I'm not that organised!

FIZZY BERRY

If you like sweet smells but don't like the too strong this is the best out of the bunch, the smell is fresh, sweet and slightly fruity at the same time with a berry undertone!

PINK MELON

Again this is one of the stronger scents of all, as you can imagine it smells like watermelon but is quite a strong smell of watermelon and again is very sweet!

This range is now available from Superdrug in store and online, if you want to get your hands on them you can find them here:

Hope you enjoyed!
