Pixi Beauty Review!

11 October 2017
I was recently sent over these products by Pixi by complete surprise, can you imagine waking up to this parcel?! It safe to say I was one very happy girl. Without giving away too much just yet, the products are amazing, keep reading to see what I think of each product.

Pixi beauty

Aspynovard Glow-y Powder
pixi beauty
First of all I love this product because its a collaboration with a fellow blogger and youtuber, its so great seeing bloggers doing wonderful things like collaborating with a brand like Pixi. Also helps that this a fab product, I received the shade Rome Rose, this powder has a subtle pink tone to it make it the perfect blush shade whereas the other powders could be used as a highlighter. I like how subtle this is making it easy to build up to suit different skin tones and to create different looks. This is also only £14, a bargain for such a great product, you can find it here.

Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse
pixi beauty double cleanse

Again a product made in collaboration with a fellow Youtuber and Blogger, this double cleanse provides a solid cleansing oil on one side and a cleansing cream on the other. I have been using this in my daily skincare routine for the past month and I have been really enjoying it so far, I have very dry skin and struggle to find things that don't irate my sensitive skin but this feels so soft and gentle on the skin, the soil cleanser also leaves my skin feeling so clean like every bit of makeup or die has been removed which is great.  This product is £24 and is available here.

Pixi Glow Tonic
pixi glow tonic

I was literally so excited to try this because I have literally heard so many good things, this is a toner that aims to give smoother, brighter and clearer skin. Firstly I love the scent of this product, along with the cleanser I have started using this in my daily skincare routine and the combination of them both has left my skin looking fresh and kept spots at bay which I am loving! This product comes in two sizes, one is 100ml perfect for traveling or just for first trying the product or a larger size which is better value for money 250ml for £18 you can find it here.

Maryam Maquillage Strobe & Bronze Palette
pixie maryam strobe palette

Again another collaboration with a blogger and youtuber, this palette features three highlighting and three bronzing shades. I have been trying them all out recently and I must say I prefer the bronzers over the highlighters for me the highlighters just aren't pigmented enough you would have to really build them up if you want a glowy look which I always want but haven't always got the time for before uni or work. Overall I do love this palette and I cant wait to use it some more, you can find it here.

Get the look- Its Eye Time

Again collaboration with a Youtuber, this palette was made in collaboration with Its Judy Time a youtuber who I have watched and loved for years so I was so excited to have a product made in collaboration with her. So this eyeshadow palette has an amazing range of 12 different colours that you can see from the swatches, the colours are perfect for the autumn season, the one thing I love about this palette is how pigmented these shades are and they blend out so well I'm obsessed with shade ping and night night, they both are incredible colours to blend! You can find this palette here.

I hope you enjoyed this review of Pixi Beauty, have any of you tried and loved any of their products? Let me know!

Sensse Beauty

19 September 2017
I was recently sent over two different products by Sensse Beauty to try out and its safe to say I was very excited to get testing them!

Go Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush

This facial cleansing brush has become a staple in my skincare routine every night since I started using it, I simply apply my facial wash on the brush and turn it on, it comes with two different speeds  to fit into what ever skincare routine you like. This comes with two interchangeable heads, one for sensitive skin and one for exfoliation. It claims to 'gently exfoliates with over 600 oscillations per minute to deeply cleanse your skin and remove blackheads and other impurities.' Which I definitely have to agree with.
A great thing about this is its size, it is travel size so makes it easy to take anywhere with you, its also cordless and lasts for 180 times without needing charging.

You can find this here.

Next is the Facial Contour Definer, although you may feel this looks a bit ominous as I did when I opened this parcel. This is basically gives you a mini face massage whilst at the same time giving your jawline a lot definition by fitting into the contour of your face. This promotes the blood circulation and stimulates collagen. So far after trying this I have really been enjoying it!

New In: 3INA Makeup Review

30 August 2017
I was recently sent over some products from 3INA Makeup, a brand I quite literally had never heard of before. After some research I discovered they have been on the beauty scene for over a year They sent me over some of there best selling products so I'm going to tell you all what I think of them!

The Highlighter 201

This highlighter has been sold out for months so I feel ver lucky to have on I'm my possession, firstly this comes in a square black packaging which is plain, simple but works well, the shade itself is almost a rose gold shade. Once swatched I immediately thought that this looked so pretty but upon applying i realised that i have to apply quite a bit of the highlighter for it to become noticeable as you will see from my swatch below it comes up quite pale on my skin. Overall though this is a gorgeous shade a more subtle one but still gorgeous, this comes with the added bonus of it being cruelty free. This is available here for £10.95

The Cream Eyeshadow 312

How gorgeous is this eye shadow, again a cruelty free product. This is a gorgeous pinky, purpley colour and I just cant get enough of it! The packaging again features the black simple look but comes in a little glass pot which again I really like. The formula is so creamy and feels so luxurious, once you've blended and left to set it doesn't budge all day so is great if you want a long lasting make up look. This is available for £8.95, amazing price right?!? you can find it here.

Longwear Lipstick 503

I was so excited when I seen this product as its literally one of my favourite shades, I loved how this product felt on the lips it was super soft and silky and dried pretty fast which I loved. The colour payoff is really good and it is very long wearing, something we all look for in a lipstick. This is available here for £7.95.

Overall Im very impressed with all the products I have tried and I would definitely recommend these products to anyone as they all come in a range of shades to suit everyone.

Rimmel Stay Matte Lipsticks

27 July 2017
Rimmel Stay Matte Lipsticks I was recently sent over the new Rimmel Stay Matte Lipsticks, as you can imagine I was very excited to try these out, for one I love Rimmel and two I'm obsessed with matte lipsticks. When I say obsessed I  basically mean there the only formula of lipsticks I actually wear. This new range comes in 15 different shades and are avlibale from the usual places: Boots, Superdrug, Feel Unique, Asos and Asda etc...

Rimmel Stay Matte Lipsticks

The first thing I loved about these was the formula, they feel so soft on your lips and they are so fast drying, I don't know about you but I'm always smudging my lips before there dry so I loved how quickly these dried. The applicator itself is a doe foot applicators so pretty bog standard. Also I love how long lasting these are, they don't just rub away and you don't suddenly realise once you've eaten some food that you no longer have any lipstick left as they last so long, you should of seen the trouble I had trying to get the swatches off my arm!

My favourite is moca and Latte To Go, I've found myself applying moca all over my lips and then Latte To Go in the middle and it gives a perfect combination.

Rimmel Stay Matte Lipsticks

These are available at £5.99 each and in my opinion are worth every penny!

You can find them here.

Kiss Faux Mink Lashes Review

18 May 2017

kiss lashes mink lash couture

kiss lashes mink lash couture

I was recently sent over some lashes from KISS, I received two of their faux mink lashes out of there 6 from this range. Kiss also have a range of normal standard lashes which are slightly cheaper if this is of interest to you. I received 'Gala' and 'Little Black Dress'.

Overall I like these lashes because they are mink but is great because its not actual real mink which is always a bonus.  They have a weight less feel about them so they don't feel like there dragging your lashes down which again is great as it makes them feel comfortable, the lash band is also knot free making it super easy to apply! The lashes also come in a little plastic portable case to ensure you can keep them protected after use and it makes them perfect for traveling.

These ones in particular cost £7.99 and are available here from Superdrug, I think this is a pretty reasonable price for mink lashes especially as they can be reused up to 10 times making it less than a pound per use, bargain.

kiss lashes mink gala

The 'Gala' lashes are full on they have a lot of lashes on the band and are quite long so they create a dramatic look, I would say these are more for special occasions and definitely not for every day use but for a special occasion these will look fab!

kiss lashes mink little black dress

The 'Little Black Dress' lashes are little more sparse than the others but are very long with a lot of volume, these lashes are made to help create a smokey eye effect without having to actually use eyeshadow but gives a natural look.

Overall I would recommend these especially if you want mink lashes without real mink or you just don't want to pay the price of real mink lashes.  What products have you been loving recently?

Don't forget you can find these at Superdrug where they also have 3 for 2 on kiss lashes right now!

*This was sent as a pr sample but all opinions are my own

Mac Lipstick Collection: The Nudes

20 April 2017

I love Mac, If you follow me on Instagram you will definitely already know this because I'm forever posting  photos of my products, so I thought it was only right that I shared my Mac lipstick collection.

Velvet Teddy
This is one of Mac's most popular shades made famous by Kylie Jenner, I love this shade but it seems to come up darker on me than most other people, this must be because of my skin tone but as you can see this looks like a dark nude shade. I love Mac's matte formula, so much so Mac matte lipsticks are actually my all time favourite and its actually rare now that I reach for anything else, they are so creamy and pigmented and last all day, apart from when you eat I do sometimes have to re apply but I don't mind that.

Whirl
This is one I love but don't reach for as often, I use this along side my whirl lip liner to create the perfect look, this is quite a dark almost dark red colour so I think its perfect for winter and don't reach for it that much during the summer months.

Honey love
Now I could literally go on forever and ever about this lipstick, this is my all time favourite lipstick, its the perfect everyday nude and I literally wear it on a daily basis, I always have it in my bag. This would suit just about anyone, I also wear the strip down lip liner with this and its the perfect match its the combo I just cant live without! I had to rebuy this last month too which shows you how much I love this haha!

Midi Mauve
This is a browny nude that again I love, this is the lustre finish which I have to admit isn't my favourite finish as I love a matte finish, so this shade looks glossier on the lips than any of the other shades. The one thing I love about this formula is the finish, they are really moistening and don't make your lips feel dry what so ever.

Taupe
I bought this because id seen it on so many people and loved although I do feel like it is quite similar to whirl but a bit brighter rather than darker like whirl. Again this one i tend to go for more during the autumn seasons with it being darker but its a staple in my collection that I definitely will rebuy!

Brave
This is the more pink lipstick of them all, I have super pale skin and this really suits my skin tone and makes the perfect shade for summer. This is a satin finish, they have the same lasting power as the matte finish and if not a big longer which is great!

What is your favourite Mac lipstick?

This eye masks are meant realieve and relax tired eyes in just ten minutes using microsteam technology. I was so excited to try these as I always have eyes that feel so sore so I couldn't wait to see what these turn out like. They are perfect for traveling, bedtime or just to relax. These work by simply warming up as soon as you open the packet and the steam that gets released is what helps to soothe your eyes.

How to use:
  1. Tear open the sachet when ready to use
  2. unfold the eye mask and put the straps over your ear
  3. Place the white side of the mask over your eyes
  4. wait for 3-5 for mask to reach highest temperature
  5. wear for another 10-15 minutes
The verdict
I can honestly say after using this mask before I went to bed and it left my eyes feeling so fresh ad relaxed and it put me in the perfect mood to go to sleep I would definitely recommend these to anyone who struggles to sleep as it really puts you in a relaxing mood.  Once on the eyes for about 5 minutes the genuinely start to warm up your eyes and it makes them feel very soothed and does so for the reaming time. There priced at £9.99 for 8 so its not something I would use on a daily basis but once or twice a week would be perfect. They do come scented and unscented I got the unscented ones which work perfectly on my sensitive skin and I think is more relaxing on the eyes.

You can find these here at boots.

beauty, sweet cheeks chubby stick, lipliner peachy kiss, baked blush halo, matte lipstick son of a peach, beauty uk

I recently got some new products from Beauty UK, if you've never heard of Beauty Uk before they are high street makeup brand sold in super drug in store and online as well as having their own website. They are known for being very affordable but in the past I have been very impressed by the brand so I love to try new products from them.

The first item I received was a matte lipstick in shade: son of a peach No.15, the consistency of these lipsticks are lovely! Their so soft and creamy and they leave a long lasting stain on your lips although I did need a few applications but for the price of £3.49 you cant really complain. The colour of this shade can be seen above its a very pinky toned lipstick which is quite a light colour when on the lips.

The next item I got was a lipliner in shade: No.4 peachy kiss which is to the match son of a peach, this liner is a twist liner so you twist the packaging to get the product up the tube, personally these are my favourites! It also comes pointed so it makes it so easy to apply which is always a bonus.

I also received two different types of blush the first was a baked blush in shade: halo No.3, this is a lighter more shimmery shade than the other blush. It so easily blended because its so light. I would actually say this would be better to be used as a highlighter than anything as its so shimmery but the shade is so pretty! Also the packaging looks really luxurious with the box, quite comparable with Benefit and for £3.99 you cant complain.

The other is a Beauty Uk Sweet Cheecks Cream stick in shade: Strawberry Jelly No.3, I was so excited to try this as I love their contour chubby sticks and I literally use them everyday and I can tell already that this is going to be no different. This looks like quite a bright pink but when blended in it looks so pretty. The consistency of these is so lovely and creamy.

You can check out Beauty Uk here.

Dusty Girls Makeup

18 December 2016

I recently received some products from Dusty Girls Makeup, for those of you don't know Dusty Girls is a makeup range that is all healthy and natural which should help to keep your skin looking amazing.

This is a pressed powder bronzer, that has warm golden tones making it perfect for most skin tones, although I would say if you were very fair then it could be too orangey toned as it is more orangey than brown toned so is more suited for those with more of a darker skin tone and if you have it would be perfect for contouring too as are most bronzers. This is priced at £15 which is pretty reasonable too for a bronzer the only downfall to this product is the fact that it is only one shade as it would be beneficial to have a wide shade range as the bronzer itself its very pretty.

This foundation is available in nine different shades; with a good range of shades and undertones from pink, sunset and golden tones it makes it perfect for everyone to be able to find a shade that is perfectly matched to your skin tone, which is amazing as there isn't much brands that offer this much of a range. Also there is a quiz online so you can easily do the quiz to see which shade is perfect for you. I had never used a powder foundation before until now and this provides a really good coverage and it feels really light weight on the Skin, I use the Fair Minerals with Pink Sunrise Tones and its perfect for me!

You can find Dusty Girls here.

Joan Collins Compact Duo Lipstick & Powder

6 December 2016

I recently received the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Compact Duo Lipstick & Powder from their collection with Joan Collins. Id never heard about this collection before but having received this I thought it was a good time to go and have a look, in this range there are lipsticks, powder, foundation etc... everything you would expect. This range was created to ensure that woman of any age can feel beautiful to create timeless beauty.

Firstly the lipstick, I received shade Katrina which is a gorgeous brown/red colour which actually reminds me of Mac Whirl. The lipstick itself is very creamy and moisturising which is always good especially in winter when your lips get drier than ever. The colour pay off of these lipsticks is amazing and they literally last so so long. Also can we talk about the packaging? How luxurious is this packing! It reminds me of Charlotte tilbury slightly and thats definitely never a bad thing. I also love how the lipstick has a little slot for it to sit in and you can swap it with any of the other lipsticks by Joan Collins, making this the perfect product to pop in your handbag.

Overall I have loved trying out these products and I would definitely recommend that you try them out for yourselves.

Brand Focus- Essence

27 November 2016

I was sent some goodies by Essence to review, Essence is one of those brands that I always see and hear things about but just one that I never had really tried before so now I get the chance to woo! I was lucky enough to receive four things to review:

Silky Touch Blush-
This blush is in shade 40 natural blush from the silk range as its silky soft on you're skin, this is a cute pink shade that looks really pretty on the skin and does feel supper soft. This has a RRP of £1 so its very affordable this is reflected in the packaging I feel but the product is amazing quality for this price.

Nail Varnish-
This shade is 01 So Lucky and is from the pastel range, they also have a jelly and a metal shades and they have a wide range. This colour is a pretty pastel yellow and the consistency is great it lasts a long time without chipping although it does need more than one coat but thats to be expected with a pastel shade.

Eye Shadow-
This is the shade 17 no cream, no sugar. Again this is the same packaging as the blushers which does reflect the price but the product is very creamy and has a really good colour pay of, it is of a matt consistency but has a little bit of shimmer in it too. This again has a RRP of £1 which is such good value for the product itself.

Eye Pencil
This is the eye pencil in shade black fever which is just a standard black colour, this product has a very fine tip which makes it very easy for application. This has a RRP of 99p which again is such good value for the money and its a really good product to try as it does last a long time sometimes it can slight bleed but all in all is a great product.

You can find Essence products here.

Shadow Switch- Make up brush cleaner

20 November 2016
makeup brush remover

makeup brush remover
makeup brush remover

I was recently sent over this brush cleaner to review, this is called the Shadow Stitch Dry Brush Cleaner by Beauty Essentials.  The aim of this product is to clean your makeup brushes by simply rotating your brush in the dry brush cleaner, its meant to save time as it can literally clean your brush in seconds and means you can use the same brush over and over again whilst creating your chosen makeup look.

Does it live up to what it's meant to do? It certainly does, its so easy to use by simply opening up the tin and moving your brush around the cleaner it takes away the product in seconds. This is especially good for eye shadow as you tend to use more than one colour when creating your look so it makes it so easy to use the same brush and quickly clean.
This is also very hygienic which is great but it does need washing with soap and then needs to be left to dry.

This is available here from amazon for £5.99 which I think is very reasonable, actually quite cheap for a product like this, normally brush cleaners are quite expensive.

Overall I love this product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
